About & privacy

About this site

My Mega Drive is a free, fan-made catalogue of Sega Mega Drive / Genesis, Master System and 32X games: box art, screenshots, short descriptions, and where each game sits in the menu of a flash cartridge. It's a hobby project with no ads and no paywall.

No games are hosted or linked here. The site lists names, sizes and menu positions only. It doesn't offer, link to or explain how to get game files.

Legal notice

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by SEGA Corporation or any game publisher. SEGA, Mega Drive, Master System, Genesis and 32X are trademarks of SEGA Corporation. Other names and trademarks belong to their owners.

Box art, title screens and screenshots are © their respective owners. They are shown for reference and identification only and are loaded from the libretro-thumbnails project; game details come from the libretro-database project. Game descriptions are written for this site.

Rights holders: if you'd like anything changed or removed, email megadrivecatalogue@gmail.com and it will be taken down promptly.

Privacy

This site has no accounts, no ads, no tracking and sets no cookies. Fonts are served from this site, not from Google.

Visitor statistics: page views are counted with GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly service that uses no cookies and stores no personal data. It records the page, where you came from, browser, screen size and country. Your IP address is used only to work out the country and to avoid counting the same visit twice, and is not stored. Nobody, including me, can identify individual visitors from it.

• Profiles, favourites, completed games and high scores are saved only in your own browser (its local storage), because you asked the site to remember them. They are never sent to anyone, including me, and aren't used for anything else.
• Deleting them: delete a profile from the profile menu at the top right, or clear this site's data in your browser settings. Private/incognito windows forget them automatically.

Like any website, loading the pages means your browser contacts these services, which can see your IP address and browser details:

• GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.) hosts the site, and GitHub serves the game images.
• GoatCounter counts page views, as described above.
• Ko-fi loads only if you open the Support window. Donations are processed by Ko-fi with PayPal or Stripe under their own privacy policies. This site never sees payment details; if you donate, Ko-fi shares your name and any message with me, and that's only used to say thank you.
